Paddy’s Caipi

We all know St. Patrick’s Day is a day filled with much celebration and booze, but what is the reason for the grand festival? Well, St. Patrick is actually one of the most influential figures of his time. He was not born in Ireland, but rather enslaved there in his teens and then fled back home to Britain. This wasn’t the end of his journey, but rather the beginning as he sought to live a religious lifestyle by becoming an “Apostle to Ireland.” In Ireland, he fought to establish Catholicism and in 444 AD, his mission was accomplished.

Many people around the world admire his bravery and celebrate his accomplishments with food and alcohol. What a coincidence that I create my own alcoholic cocktails! Paddy Caipi is made with cucumbers, a green and healthy infusion. Cucumbers are low in fat, sodium, and calories since they are made up of 96 % of water. Cucumbers are also a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Potassium, increasing the benefits of maintaining healthy skin.

Recipe:

1.5 oz of Crop Cucumber Vodka

1 Kiwi

1.0 oz  of Irish cream

1 cup of ice

Combine all the ingredients in a blender until you have a smooth consistency, garnish with fat free whipped cream and green refined sugar.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
