{:en}  What is it French Tuesdays?  French Tuesdays is a Social Network Community founded by 2 French guys in 2003 with the initial idea of organizing social events for a selected group of people in NYC. Since New Yorkers love to be or feel exclusive it made here the perfect place to start this type of community. 

I attended one of their Events last week, and I will share all my experience with you.

A long time I didn’t hear about French Tuesdays; I didn’t even know that kept going on strong until my friend Etienne De Yans, founder of Tapis Rouge, invited me to attend their last party.

As a Model in NY, you get invited to parties and exclusive Events that the majority don’t have access to it;  We end up getting spoiled by this little private World, which seems very unrealistic to the eyes of the outsiders.

I remember that back in the days it was important to be on the social scene, the online World was not so popular yet, and a lot of the connections were made in social events, parties where people in the industry could see you. Nowadays everything is online, your Instagram account and number of followers you have is enough for people to find you.

In a time where all the relationships are becoming online, It is important to take some time to do a face to face network too, and being a part of the French Tuesdays Social Network could be a good way to start for some good reasons.

 The parties are exclusive where you have to be a member to get in; the memberships are offered by invitation only, it means You need to be invited by a member of the community. As soon as you go through the process and get approved, you start to have access to the list of  Events around the World. 

The parties are usually in a happy hour style in hot spots around the city with different themes. The one from last week happened at Avenue Nightclub located at the Meat Packing District area.

When I arrived I was greeted by the security that makes sure everybody attending is an exclusive member and nobody is crashing the party. The crowd is sophisticated and well dressed, the music is a perfect matching to the vibe. I chatted with some of the members, and they just had good experiences to share about the Events they participated around the World through the French Tuesdays community. 

The theme of this party was Champs Elysees Ave 2.0. It started to pick up after 8, everybody was happy, dancing, networking and sipping one of the specialty cocktails. My favorite cocktail was the Greyhound, combining vodka, seltzer and Grapefruit juice. It had a touch of balance and freshness following Miss Caipi‘s style.

It is a party full of entertainment with dancers wearing “Can Can costumes” or even being Marilyn Monroe performing around the guests. You could see people holding French flags or even wearing the traditional French painter hats all over the place grooving by the sound of the tunes.

You can call the French Tuesdays a happy hour full of surprises and great entertainment for the ones that are lucky enough to be part of this exclusive community.

{:}{:br}O que é a French Tuesdays? French Tuesdays é uma Rede de Network Social fundada por 2 franceses em NY em 2003, a princípio a idéia era de organizar eventos sociais para um público exclusivo. E como o New Yorker adora ser ou se sentir exclusivo  não há lugar melhor no mundo para começar uma comunidade dessas com grandes chances de sucesso na Big Apple, como foi o caso da French Tuesdays.  Semana passada eu fui convidada para um de suas festas de Happy hour e vou compartilhar todos os detalhes com vocês.

Quando você tem esse título de Modelo aqui em NY, os convites e acesso à Eventos exclusivos não acabam, somos previlegiadas e temos acesso VIP a um mundo que nem todos tem e sem gastar nada. Eu percebo que é muito difícil pra quem está de fora entender esses privelégios, principalmente os brasileiros,já que no Brasil as coisas funcionam de forma bem diferente.

Eu me lembro, que há uns anos atrás, quando não existiam as redes sociais e a internet ainda não era tão desenvolvida. Era bem importante frequentar as festas para fazer contatos e também ser vista. Hoje em dia basta você ter uma conta de Instagram com uma boa quantidade de seguidores para ser vista e conhecida.

Nos tempos de hoje, onde as relações estão cada dia mais no mundo virtual, é sempre bom ter uma forma de manter as comunicações cara a cara em dia. E pra isso eu acho que a Comunidade French Tuesdays têm boas opções de Eventos e um público favorável a esse tipo de networking por vários motivos.

Primeiro, todas as festas são exclusivas e só membros podem participar, para se tornar sócio da comunidade você tem que ser convidado e depois aprovado pelos administradores. Depois da sua aprovação você passa a ter acesso a todas as festas que acontecem em vários lugares do mundo; e São Paulo parte da lista também.

As festas geralmente acontecem em ritmo de Happy Hour em lugares top e tem temas diferentes. A que eu fui semana passada aconteceu no Avenue Nightclub e o Tema da festa foi Avenue Champs Elysee 2.0.

Quando eu cheguei tive que passar uma segurança acirrada, se você não for parte da French Tuesdays Máfia, desista que não tem como penetrar. O público realmente é de alta qualidade em estilo e sofisticação, como não se vê em qualquer balada por ai, todos alegres, socializando e curtindo a festa. Eu até conversei com alguns membros mais antigos, que só tinham boas experiências para compartilhar dos eventos que já haviam participado aqui e em outros lugares do mundo.

A festa foi cheia de entretenimento com direito a dançarinas de Can Can e atrizes encenando Marilyn Monroe enquanto os convidados se deliciavam com os coquetéis feitos especialmente para festa e balançavam seus esqueletos ao som de ritmos variados.  O meu drink favorito foi o Greyhound que era composto de vodka, água com gás, e suco de toranja. Balanceado e refrescante ao estilo da Miss Caipi.

Nós podemos considerar os eventos da French Tuesdays top de linha para quem tem sorte de fazer parte dessa comunidade privada.
