Sagrado Cafe caught my attention while walking in Miami looking for a place to have a good coffee and write. I didn’t have any idea Sagrado was a Brazilian Cafe, but soon I found out when I spot all the delicacies around the place bringing me great memories of my hometown comfort food.
I prepared a special playlist filled with Brazilian Bossa Nova songs that you can listen while you are reading. Don’t forget to check it out below!
As part of their Menu, I could find it not only the coffee but many other treats like our famous ( Cheese bread) known as pão de queijo by the Brazilians. It is a gluten-free bread type that it tastes terrific paired with coffee at any time of the day.
Sagrado attends the taste of the day crowd, ready for breakfast, lunch, and brunch at the weekends. It is located at the Biscayne Blvd near the American Airlines Arena. There aren’t many places to eat around to attend the locals and people working in the area. This Brazilian Cafe came to fill out the needs of these people with taste and style.
The place is well decorated with style and sophistication. The owner Taciana was happy to give me a tour of the place and explain the concept. The Cafe decor is all Brazilian inspired since the glasses until the yellow wall tiles imported from directly from Brazil.
I fell in love with the concept, most of the times when I see a Brazilian Cafe it is inspired in the favelas (slums) with mixed vibrant colors, and Sagrado came to bring a Brazilian touch of sophistication that I grew up with in Rio.
They also deliver Brigadeiros boxes, our most famous Brazilian sweet, which is very similar to a truffle in taste and appearance. The boxes are beautiful and well styled making a great gift to bring to a party or event.

I am happy to share the experience and invite you to take a trip around the Brazilian cuisine with me!
Cheese bread and Latte
I started in a very Brazilian style with some cheese bread paired with a cafe com Leite (Latte)
I don’t drink soda beverages for many years, the only one I would consider once in a while in a diet version, it is the Brazilian soda, guarana. Guarana is a fruit that grows in the Amazon, it has energetic properties, and it tastes delicious.
We also have delicious finger food in Brazil that once and while I step out of my diet to have a little bit of it. And Sagrado had some of my favorites like the “coxinha,” which is a stuffed chicken rolled in a potato dough.

The Codfish balls are mouthwatering too. They have similar ingredients as the coxinha; just instead of chicken, They have shredded cod meat. You can also season with squeezed lime juice to add an extra flavor and pair with a Guarana.

I cannot miss the french fries covered with cheese and sliced bacon that can be eaten with a mayo dip.

I also tried a range of delicious sweets from the Sagrado dessert menu.
I started with the Chocolamour, made with their custom-made gelato topped with brigadeiro fudge, cashew nut crumbs and cream anglaise. By the picture, You can have a taste of what a treat this dessert is!

Then I switched to a more healthier option, The classic Açai bow, The açai like the guarana is also a fruit that grows in Amazon and has antioxidants properties. The Açai bowls have been trendy in America, and Sagrado did a great job in the pairing and decoration of this one.

As Taciana Kalili, the owner says ” We welcome people from all over with not only great food but also warmth, grace, and a lot of bossa — that typical Brazilian flair. For us, that is sacred.”

There are more things to explore in Miami than the beach. You can find great places to eat and hang out around the city.
