What a great way to style your swimsuit with a cool float for an Instagram beach picture! The floats can be used as a prop to bring more colors to the picture. I am always in Miami for modeling assignments and the last time I was there I styled my swimsuits with cool floats that I got at Amazon for a more exciting shoot concept.
The Amazon has a good selection and affordable prices from different brands of floats, and if you have the prime membership, you can get them to be shipped to you for free in 2 days. Just keep in mind, you will need a pump to inflate them, some brands already come with the pump, and you don’t have to buy it separately.
It is pretty easy to inflate and deflate the float and it doesn’t require a lot of time either. As soon as I decided in which floats I would use I started to look for the swimsuits to match the float designs.
1- Donut Float and one piece cut out printed swimsuit
The Donut float can be purchased for only $12.99, and it comes with the pump. I just loved the float at the moment you look at it you want to eat it. Since there is a full range of colors in it, I picked this one piece open front swimsuit that would match the same colorfulness and happiness of the float, and I paired with pink mirrored aviator sunglasses to complete the look.
If you are shooting in full sunlight, it will be easier to use cool sunglasses closing your eyes or blink. Since it is a donut float, I could be creative with the poses using the float as a prop in different positions until I got to use it as a real float. It was relaxing to be able to chill around the pool.

2- Unicorn Float and Pink one piece swimsuit
The Unicorn float was purchased for $11.99, it also came with a little unicorn drink holder for your beverages or cocktails, how cool is to be able to have your cocktails without leaving the pool! When you purchase the float, and you use for pictures just be careful to not get the ones with the warnings and instructions written right on the middle of the float. This one had this problem I had to be cautious in hiding the signs all the time to not show in the pictures.
I matched this float with a light pink one-piece swimsuit that matched one of the tail colors, so I picked a bright pink to contrast with the white color base. Since that it was almost sunset time when I shot the pictures it was a little tricky to control the lights and try not to get shadows in the pictures. In case you are just starting to shoot I would recommend photographing in full sunlight, having more lights is better than having less it makes it easier to adjust the colors when you use a photo editor.
3- Flamingo Float and Flamingo Swimsuit
The Flamingo float costs $13.73 at Amazon. This float was the easiest one to match since I already have my flamingo swimsuit by Qswimwear ready to go and a cool sunglasses to finish the look. I was surrounded by lights and colors, and I played the part showing my happy smile and playing with the Flamingo as much as I could to make a memorable picture.
It is good if you try to add proper props to the pictures according to your photo shoot theme to make it more interesting, We all know that Instagram loves colors, and you should make a good use of it, especially if you are shooting on a beach or pool scene that allows you to play around. You can use fruits of the season, a fun cocktail or another beach prop that compliments your pictures.
